I have a Lincoln weldanpower 150 that I purchased new in 1978 and since has only got about 50 running hours on it. Been a couple years since last used and today when I started it I have no electrical output either 115vac or welding current. I let it run for an hour with a 100 watt light plugged in but without results. Any help appreciated.
Reply:I think you and I are experiencing the same problems.(see weldanpower 250 no spark) Do you have a model # and code # ? If I come up with some cures I will share them with you. Good Luck

Reply:First, if you don't have a manual for the unit, go here http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...ualsearch.aspx and download a copy. Then I'd start by checking for dirty/tarnished slip rings and/or stuck brushes. The brush holders like to build up rust over time from lack of use which binds the brushes preventing them from making contact with the slip rings.Let us know if it's still a no go.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base! |
