I recently purchased a WeldanPower 150. Mine has the Kohler 10hp engine which I think? is a K-241 variant. In order to replace numerous missing parts (previous owner was a knumbskull!) like the mechanical fuel pump and even the points cover the parts suppliers need the specific design # for this model of Kohler 10hp K-241 as used on the welder/generator. Apparently there are several designs for tractors etc with slightly different uses and #s. I'm hoping someone has this exact WeldanPower 150 AC welder and can find that small aluminum tag on his engine (previous owner lost that TOO).?#2 Here is a pic of the engine cowling with an approx 2"x1"' rectangular hole/2bolt holes... any idea what the nimrod removed from the engine here? I just got the hole on the side away from carb/pump. near the gas tank. Sumthin' went there. I have been encouraged by Duane55 and others to restore it, hmmm, well I am thinking a mechanically and electrically safe and useful rebuild anyways. Getting the engine safe, not dripping fuel, tank mounted correctly etc. and it all in one piece with correct parts would be a start thanks much,PapaLion/BretMy code # for the Lincoln WeldanPower 150 is :8678Serial # is A 999851 which I believe makes it a 1983 built unit.Appreciate the help and as I build a new wiring harness, check caps and diodes etc. I will thread that here just for general info.some pics are here and others of my unit in total are on page 7-8 of Duane55s long thread... "bought a Lincoln". Attached ImagesLast edited by PapaLion; 02-16-2010 at 06:48 PM.

Reply:Voila, yes... that spec # tells the supplier what parts are correct for a k-241 used in a Lincoln AC 150 and they really like U to provide it. Sheesh, yours looks about as nasty as mine, wish you well on going thru it. Duane did such a keen job on his, you've seen that thread surely. You have some kinda "thing" bolted in the cowl cover which was my second ? in the thread. I got a hole where sumthin' used to be (see my #2 pic)? what zactlee is that thing? thanks much big help!Bret |
