Mig Gun Question

I'm still new to welding I have a stick welder that I can run no problemo, I picked up  a Lincoln sp-100 old model  currently has a bernard 8610a gun on it. but finding parts for this gun seems next to impossible, I need to change the liner and so forth I figured I might as well get a New Gun... Question tho will it come with everything gun, liner ect. what ever else i need. And most important does the type I buy make a big difference, Just a hobbyist here.  Just looking for some decent options besides all this china crap I keep finding, Suggestions..?ThanksLincoln sp 100115v
Reply:You need a new gun. Neither Bernard nor Lincoln support that gun any longer.Yes, it will come with the liner and should come with everything except maybe the contact tip.
Reply:One thing to look at that most people do not think of till they need parts is.The cost of parts like liners tips and nozzles,also switches. Generally speeking the more popular the gun the cheaper parts will be because they are made in mass. I have a 150 amp miller mig gun for an old machine I have.I liked the gun but a new liner is $45 a nozzle is like $15 and a new leaf switch for the trigger is $35. To me it is not worth keeping it going so I picked up a Bernard centerfire gun , I got 2 liners for $18. the centerfire nozzle is a little on the expensive side but I like the gun and they are common so parts should be available for a long time. The old tweco no1,2,3,and 4 are hard to beat and parts are cheap.

Reply:I saw that the magnum, would fit just wasnt sure if there were other better options, was only hesitant to get it was mkst were coming from china.Hopefully getting a new gun will fix the other issues im having.
