Sad news at BCs shop

As you guys know Im a dog lover and spend a lot of time with my two Springers..Blacky and Bailey are litter mates and are 13 years old. about 4 months ago Blacky started have digestion problems that ended up being his liver failing we got all the meds and special diet for him but Saturday he lost his battle with his failing liver and had to be put down.we are all sad and missing him especially his sister Bailey....I had posted so many videos with them in them I figured you guys being their extended family would want to know of his passing......  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock

Reply:We have a pet cemetery we created years ago on our 1 acre lot across from our home.  It now has 6 pets in it over the 25 years I've lived here.  Tough making the decision to save suffering but it is necessary.  You did well. Reply:Sorry for your loss.  I just put my lab Jake down in July, 14 1/2 years old. After years of training,running field trials and hunt tests through the Midwest and his whole life of duck hunting you really get attached, they really are like family.  He died as a HRCH hunting retriever champion. Reply:Really sorry to hear of your loss.  We had to put down our 15 year old Golden in March.  I cried like a baby.  We had him cremated and I welded up a stainless box, added some of his ashes, and he still goes along on camping trips. Reply:My (our) dogs all have grave markers with lighted angels. Animals don't care if you have millions or nothing in your pocket.  They just treat you like you treat them. They really do have that unconditional love. Humans will lie, cheat, steal, stab you uin the back.  Animals can judge people very accurately. My grandmother always said if a dog is leery of someone, you better watch them. I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Reply:Go ahead, you'll be surprised how the nuzzle from a sweet puppy eases the pain. For me, it's no more second hand dogs. I've had three rescue dogs, each had some form of psychosis.

Reply:Sorry to hear about that I feel for you. I had my Great Dane killed by someone in my yard they jumped the ditch and hit her on purpose and in saw it . I had to get put on crazy meds for awhile I lost it and had a mental breakdown she was like my kid with me every day all day. I'm not a very emotional person but it's amazing how we can handle human death better than our pets. I hope everything works out for you.

Reply:I have had three springers in my life. My black and white in my profile pic was the common denominator. I had a liver and white female first, then my black and while male came about 5 years later, and then about 7 years after that we got the second liver and white female, after the first one passed. When the first one passed, the male was actually happier. I think all of her efforts to dominate him were driving him nuts. We had him as our only dog for about 2 years. We picked up the second female as an adult, started dog, and honestly he gets along with her better than the first female. Maybe in a couple of years you will get another.Miller Multimatic 255
