Hello everyone,I've got a Dynasty 200DX and currently weld with a 150 series air cooled torch by CK Worldwide.  Its the flexhead model.  I love the torch but had to weld some thicker aluminum today and quickly realized that I need a water cooled torch setup.  Allready have multiple waterbath chillers available at work and will probably just use one of these as my water cooler (over kill).  I know I want to go with a CK torch but not sure which configuration (20 series?).  I want something that can handle at least 200 amps and is the same size or smaller than the ck150.  Can I use my gas lens and collets on the watercooled torch or are they not interchangeable.  Not sure if I want a flexhead (like the air cooled one I have) or the flexloc.  I was thinking about this model FL2525SF but not real sure.  Will I need any kind of adapters to use this on my machine?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!Justin
Reply:if your 150 series is like the standard "17" series, you won't be able to use your consumables on it.  You could get a massive 18 torch, which is the water cooled equivalent of the 26 torch, in order to use your consumables, but it is massive, lol.  If you want a 20 series, you'll need 20 series consumables.  I recommend a water-coole Flex Loc torch. 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:Got it.  Thanks for the info.  I'll just get the model I put in my original post then.  I think it was the 20 series with the 25 foot lead. What is the most economical coolant to circulate through these torches?

Reply:Finally got the torch in (FL250).  Looks like I am using #3 series head accessories on my ck150 so according to the documentation these parts will work on the FL3 head of the FL250.  Will most likely go to the FL2 head eventually since it is more compact and more than enough for a Dynasty 200.  I am amazed how much smaller the torch is than the 150.Looks like I will still need an aux pump for my chiller as it doesn't deliver the required flow rate at 50 psi.  Here is the bath I'll probably use. Reply:Break the tungsten in half and use a medium sized back cap, makes a lot more sense since you will always waste the last inch. The more pieces you cut the 7" tungsten into, the more will be wasted. A medium back cap actually helps sometimes too since you can sorta hold against it.Welding/Fab Pics: www.UtahWeld.com
