I have a question about those 3-in-1 combination tools for sheet metal.I'm looking for a shear+brake for 20g max and found 5 very similar models:BaileighWoodWardJETBirminghamHarbor FreightThey look almost identical from the design. Does anyone have one of those models and can share some experience? Is it the same manufacturer but different branding, or is there a good and bad (bad as in a cloned tool with lesser quality)? It would be tempting to go with the model from HF at the upcoming 4th of July 25% sale
Reply:they are all equally crappy.Jet is probably the best about keeping parts in stock, but they charge more for it.the only decent 3- in - ones ever made were the original Triok machines from the 70's, which all of these are a bad copy of. http://www.sterlingmachinery.com/db-...20Brochure.pdf
Reply:I like your answer Too bad the Triok is not for sale anymore. |
