How do I pull the exciter bracket from the main gen I read the instructions on aws but dont see anywhere to hook the jaws ? I was thinking maybe a cam puller but that is to small . Any help is appreciated.1997 SA 250
Reply:First, you need to pull the nut, washer, and the "pressed on" centering ring. The attached pic shows the parts and the cheap, two jaw puller to pull the ring. Then the exciter armature will easily slide off.-Rhyno Attached Images07 Fowler 200D65 RedFace04 Miller TB 302, 22hpMiller 12RCMiller HF 251-1Lincoln SP135HyperTherm PM 380and a few others... Reply:Here is a link to one of my posts. It shows the Puller Plate that I made to pull the exciter housing. Along with the plate, I used a different two jaw puller to get it done.-Rhynohttp://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...839#post36183907 Fowler 200D65 RedFace04 Miller TB 302, 22hpMiller 12RCMiller HF 251-1Lincoln SP135HyperTherm PM 380and a few others...
