Hey guys,I'm pretty sure it's a Lincoln, any info would be appreciated. Looking at buying a machine. Found this on a local buy and sell. This is all the add said,Gas powered trailer welder. Wisconsin gas engine, may need a governor but otherwise works well. He's asking $1000. That seems a little high to me. Also, i'll assume it'll need some new plugs and wires and an oil change. He mentioned the governor, what do you suppose that would cost? I'd obviously want to try it out before I bought it.Reply With Quote
Reply:If it runs 1000 bucks is cheap, offer 750. looks like a 63 redface. A good plus it has some leads.
Reply:I love the knowledge on this site. Thanks for the quick reply.I emailed the seller, and asked for some info, possible model number or serial. All he said was that it looks like it isn't homemade. Maybe he doesn't know what he's got.
Reply:If its a 63 that will be a good burning rig
Reply:looks pretty good the engine is a 162 continental. That one has the starter in the 5 o clock position. Its one of those indestructible types that will last for generations. Not to mention it is all copper wound.good luck.
Reply:Ok thanks guys, I will definitely be contacting him and pursuing this. |
