All, I just picked up my new to me 1993 Dialarc 250. It came with 75 feet of heavy stinger cable and a tweco 200 amp stinger with tweco plugs. The ground cable is about 30 feet with a 200 amp ground clamp with tweco plug. The power cable is huge and is 25 feet long. It has it's own wheeled cart and hangers for all the cable. You can see the old beast in this photo. I ran a couple of beads with it but I will have to spend a little time with it before I post a couple of weld photos.I am excited about it. It's my first 'big boy' welder. All for a cool $200.00 I feel it's a pretty good deal.
Reply:A-Hole! You stole that machine! The bad news is that it will last forever so it will be a constant reminder the rest of your life of what you did! Congrats on a getting a workhorse! Do you have an outlet to connect it to yet?GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:7A, this one had been at a marina/coast environment also. I did not know that until I got it back home and opened her up to blow it all out. Saw all the corrosion and was a bit worried. I used a lot of WD40 and spent about 3 hours cleaning and spraying protection. Cleaned and snugged up all the critical fasteners. The sheet metal sides had been replaced with 1/8 stainless plate so there was a lot of corrosion, apparently. I fired it up and I think it welds like it is supposed to. I've never used one before so I hope I'm correct. |
