Hello;I own a Weldanpower Code 8928 that runs good with the 16 HP Briggs in it.Here's the thing, I took the cover off and looked at the fan near the controlanel. . It appears that there are only 4 or 5 "fins" intact on there, although it throws plenty of air. So , first question, is it broke? Second, if the answer to one is yes, then how much of a job is it to fix it? Does running it jsut htis way hurty the machinein any way? I am new at this, so would appreciate all the god advice I could get on this. Machine welds good and outlets good also.
Reply:I'm kind of interested as well. My fan sounds like it is in better shape than yours, but there is one blade missing on it. I guess if it doesn't overheat then you are ok, but how do you know on these before you damage them?Russ
Reply:not sure but it made have been made that way. Look real close at the hub where the blade is missing. see if there is any sign that a blade was there. If it's smooth no blade was there.
Reply:well, on mine there was definitely a blade there at some point. there is a bit of it left, maybe an 1/8th or a 1/4 inch. Not sure about the o.p.'s fan.Russ
