Reply:More pics would be great. Are the head and crank from an older motorcycle?GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:Sorry about the poor picture. I used old Tecumseh parts from an 8hp I took apart a while ago. I started by drilling the hole for the spark plug in the head big enough to accept the flywheel side of the crankshaft. On the bottom side of the head I used the nut to lock the crankshaft to the head. Then I drilled a hole for the wire to run inside the crankshaft the entire way until it got to the bottom. I welded a nut with the same threads as the lamp kit can with in the top of the crankshaft (PTO side). The lamp kit came from Menards for about 6 dollars. The threads are 1/8 IP which stands for iron pipe.Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkLast edited by Br4denJ; 12-27-2014 at 05:49 PM.
