Years ago I purchaced the corner of a factoy type workshop place and unscrewed these two boxes with welding heads in them. Probably the handle and the shiniest one in the lower box came from elsewhere. There is size 0 to 10 in the top and some spares in the bottom. At one time I tested them out and some of the tips themselves sure didn't make perfectly shaped flames. There is a complete set of heads whether they actually are mixer or injector I didn't investigate. If you have a good handle or want to take a chance on this one which the knobs don't turn real far and not much more than the 800 stamped in is readable on the label let me know. I would like $50 plus shipping and I would think that would be at least $20 if not more as there is some weight here and it doesn't look like a priority mail box deal. Attached Images
Reply:Minus the (very cool!) wood holders they'd fit in a medium Priority Mail box. With internet Delivery Confirmation (tracking number) shipping would be around twelve bucks. If the purchaser wants to leak-check the handle, TIG or solder the ugliest tip shut and it'll make a fine plug. I pressurize with (CLEAN, DRY) compressed air or inert gas and hold 'em in a bucket of water. As for the tips, some time with a green scrubbie (dry) gets the oxide off, then it's file and tip drill time for any funky tips, but that's easy to do.
Reply:What part of WV? Could you meet me at Cabela's?
Reply:I guess St Marys is the best close town to name. I see over in the other thread you found goss sold this stuff, This way you would probably have to buy a few copper tips and you might only use the big ones with propane anyway. Without researching I suspect they use the Harris numbering system being the number means the pressure for the fuel.I have this tin can sort of thing of oxweld nozzle cleaning powder you mix with water which would make that stuff look lots different. I am not really sure what chemical it really is. It seems a shame not to keep the holder as it will do a good job of keeping grinding spray among other stuff away. The small ones look as if they havn't been banged up or used or cleaned thousands of times the place had welding positioners you could put a vw bug on, or close to it by size and no problem by weight. The handle is basically there just to be sure they are 800 series. If the buyer didn't have a good handle I still would recomend searching on ebay for a better one for a while.
Reply:Looks like Cabela's is a bit of a hike for you. I guess that is out of the question? I want these because I have the handle for them already from my Dad's collection, but I think the shipping might make it a little on the expensive side.
