Reply:I have one but can't say much about it, haven't even picked up a bottle yet.  I've only used it for stick welding so far.

Reply:Hi John, I have one.  Home hobbyist here so I use it on weekends in the restoration of an old pickup truck among other things.  I bought it virtually brand new off Craigslist when the seller realized he needed a Mig welder instead for his projects.  Picked up the machine, cart, bottle and ton of leftover consumables.I absolutely love this machine.  I took Tig classes at a junior college and we didn't have pedals on our machines at school.  I've welded steel primarily and a little stainless just to mess around.I have a Lincoln SP-135 Plus Mig so I was happy with that and wanted a Lincoln Tig.  Can't say anything at all about Miller, ESAB or any others as I've never used one.  We did use Miller machines at school but they were the huge industrial banks of Tig machines and not something you would buy for home use.FuelBoy-----------Lincoln SP-135 PlusLincoln Precision TIG 225
Reply:Well with the little bit of stick welding I've done so far, it seems to work great, and is very simple to use.  I bought the plain jane PT 225, it came with a bunch of tig equipment including torch, tungsten, regulator, etc. but they don't include a stinger with that package, only the ground.  I just bought a generic one b/c a Lincoln lead was about 30% more expensive and its a pretty damn simple part.We should start stick welding in class ASAP so at least I'll have something to compare it to.
Reply:I have one now for about 6 months. I'm just a light user to play with here at my home work shop. It does stick weld nice. Tig is good also on the steel. On the thinner alu is good. I need to hone my skills to do the thicker stuff with out melting things. I would like to get a tig cooler as it does get hot fast.]Lincoln PT 225 Tig
