Pipe Mode?

Some welders such as the Lincoln 305G(D) have a dedicated downhill pipe mode on the weld selector. What is the difference in the weld output when switching from standard stick mode to pipe mode?  Oh yeah, I'm not a pipe welder, just in case you couldn't figure that out.StephenMillermatic 251Miller Syncrowave 200Miller 30A SpoolgunHypertherm Powermax 30Etc., etc., etc.............Cancer Sucks!
Reply:Just leave the unit in pipe mode, the cc mode really doesn't work all that well for most positions. Even on the Vantage 500, the only time the CC mode gets used is for gouging and such
Reply:I too wondered about that when I got a Ranger 250.   Here is ALL you will want to know.  It's actually a pretty powerful option to have.
