I am not supposed to weld anymore

Sunday afternoon I decided to go make a small metal pot to melt some aluminum in. I couldn't find a piece of pipe shorter than 8ft long and so I had to drag out my bandssaw. The halfnut would not lock up. I had to clamp it with a Stronghands clamp. Got it cut. Couldn't find a scrap piece of flatstock. Had to grab a length of 1/2 inch by 6 inch and cut to length. Keep in mind, all I wanted to do was melt a 1/2cup of aluminum scrap here. Nothing major or important. Ok, I get the parts sandblasted so i can have clean metal to weld. I wipe it down with acetone and sit down for some quick TIGgin. Cool. Here we go. Ah yes, 1/3rd done. WHAT? my machine won't start and arc. I get the high freq but no heat. I already know this game. Pull the power hose off the machine. Yep. I blew TWO CK TIG fuses. I check the water flow. good flow. I check the water level...ok, a little low but not enough to lose prime and I could see the return flow. Top off the water. Ok, replace fuse. WHAT? no fuses. So I run naked with no fuse.Ok, yeah, yeah, here we go now. WHAT?? what is all this bubbling and blowout? Damnit! I ran out of Argon. Screw it. I give up.Come home tonight to change the tank. WHAT? Both my Pure Argon tanks are empty?ARGH!!!I just wanted a little melting cup. justy 2 inch tall by 2 inch ID. Reply:I went and filled my 200cft Argon tank today. Another 135bucks into the wind. Pretty much, right? That is where it goes. It is not consumed into the weld. But I will have gas! My wife loves it when I have gas. I told him someday when I die all the tools are his. I think he is plotting secretly in his mind my early demise. My daughter is another story there Shovelon. she is 15, has a job in an office, quit the brick and mortar school due to the dumbasses there and did online high school. She is buying her first vehicle in 2 days. She picked up a 1985 Ford F150 extra cab, fuel injected 302 with a camper shell on it. She likes to camp out. We have a 32ft toyhauler but she uses her own tent and camps next to us. The truck blue books for almost twice what she is paying. It has all new tires and blows cold ac. Reply:By the way.....the boy turns 17 this month. For the naysayers....he has been riding that Yamaha R6 600cc crotch rocket for 2.5years now and no tickets and no wrecks. He has pretty much done what I expected. Still ranked number 4 in his high school class. He got a B in Spanish class last year.
