Reply:I've done some production runs of small assemblies in the past where that thing would have been really handy to do them on.  I can see it being useful for MIG welding up assemblies also.
Reply:That's Very Interesting!But, it looks like the Bottle Jack is also pretty modified and I'm not sure How...I can see adding a Spring to the pump handle would be no big deal but, what has he done to make the Release foot operated? He steps on a pedal and that Opens the valve, how do you do That?

Reply:It appears as though he used the jack off of a motorcycle lift. I have one just like that in my garage.Its made to be used with one foot.
Reply:I've seen this also, I would consider making it except I am use to large 4 x 8 work benches.

Reply:A cam setup would work too as long as you put in an adjustment to take up wear. I was thinking that with age the Jack would start to leak down and that would be a pain as it let loose just about the time you really needed it to be solid.
