Should be here Wednesday since I get free 2 day shipping on Amazon Prime. Went with the mvp because I don't have access to a 220 (yet!), and I chose the Hobart over the Miller because I can use the money saved in the price difference for a tank, wire, clamps, chop saw, etc. First project will likely be making a knock off of the prowler, which is a metal sled used for physical conditioning. I'll likely use mostly 2"x2" 11 gauge square tubing and, if the welder can handle it with just 115v, 3/16" plate for the skis. I'm hoping that if it turns out alright, that I can sell it to a local gym (crossfitters love these things) or on craigslist to. Also, I start my advanced mig class this week at the local community college. It will be nice to be able to practice a little bit at home so that I can ensure I pass with an A Prowler: |
