I am looking at purchasing a cold saw (wet coolant based) for cutting stainless thin walled pipe. The issue is that all the smaller cold saws run at a single speed, in my case 42rpm. Will I be able to cut stainless exhaust pipe without wrecking the blade at 42rpm? I have read that stainless requires closer to 20rpm?
Reply:Yes.Thin wall, fine tooth blade. If you can, reduce the blade diameter to lessen the circumfrential speed rate and increase feed stability.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea. |
