This is a set-up that I have had sitting around for a while and I don't use so I am trying to sell. It is a Smith AW1 torch body with AC309 cutting attachment with new o-rings. Also have a brand new size 0 welding tip. It has good condition regulators and an ok hose. I was wondering what something like this would sell for so I can try to get some money out of it. Reply:You could probably pull over a hundred bucks for it on Ebay. Smith stuff goes high. Clean up the torch (not with chemicals or solvent) and photograph it with the tip nut removed and the tip lying next to it to show the threads and seat are good since the tip is trashed. Close pic of the hose connection threads helps too.I'd use a new dry green Scrubbie and keep the dust out of the torch, takes a few minutes to get most oxide off.I'm cheap and wouldn't go over eighty. That's not an offer since I have too many torches now, but it should go promptly at that price in these or other welding forums.
Reply:I just ordered a new Smith AW1A torch body and a couple of AW200 series tips. New, the body was $104, the torch tips were about $28 ea.
