Does anyone know the reason the O/P studs are located under the hood below the gas tank on the RH side of my SA 200?I've seen some SA 200's which have them outside on the end below the controls, where it seems they would be easier to use. I am thinking of moving them there unless someone can suggest a good reason not to."The reason we are here is that we are not all there"SA 200Idealarc TM 300 300MM 200MM 25130a SpoolgunPrecision Tig 375Invertec V350 ProSC-32 CS 12 Wire FeederOxweld/Purox O/AArcAirHypertherm Powermax 85LN25
Reply:They're under the cover for the same reason you see the MIller machines with rubber boots over the studs. Some sites require protective covers on the studs so that nothing that accidentally falls on the front of the machine can cause a short/spark and start a fire or electrocute someone. The studs on my 300D are under the left side cover. I had my LWS make a couple 24" pigtails with lugs on one end and LC-40 Tweco connectors on the other. I keep them tucked inside the frame when not in use. It's a lot faster to connect leads to these than it is to open the side panel of the machine. Reply:Thanks for the reply, I already have the pigtails brought out. I just wondered why they changed it."The reason we are here is that we are not all there"SA 200Idealarc TM 300 300MM 200MM 25130a SpoolgunPrecision Tig 375Invertec V350 ProSC-32 CS 12 Wire FeederOxweld/Purox O/AArcAirHypertherm Powermax 85LN25 |
