well, to a fresh start. umhmmmm.  ive finally obtained the machine of my dreams. took some wheeling and dealing, but nuff said. i was looking online for a air cooled torch. i see that with the dynasty i need a dinse 50 to 5/8"-18 rh adapter. some come with gas lines and some dont. i need one with a gas line i assume. also, lets say i buy a wp-17 torch, how hard is it to connect the dinse connector? never even seen one in person before. also i was looking at the millers multi voltage (mvp) power setup. 120/230/power chord. ebays has it for $119, but i can buy a lil less seperatly, but pay shipping.just trying to get this thing up and running. i could take it to smitty, ( a local welder repair guy), but he will prob charge me, when i can use the $ towards torch, dinse for power and ground.....plus im ganna need a foot pedal......, man now i know why i didnt have a dynasty before. all aside, like i have before, i want to thank ALL members for their advice. without you i could have never known enough to wheel and deal to get the $ for this machine. hopefully your buddy, Joeps i apologize for the harsh words, ( i felt backed into a corner), but im happy go lucky. have a beer with me. so cmon, help me get this poor *** used dynasty up and running. heres some pics of the power chord it was connected too...........pics commingi dont know what kinda plug this is. no idea. i even googled the name and number....no idea......i think im just ganna buy a home depot 230/50 amp plug and chord tomm to get the machine running. ill get the mvp kit if i need it later....heres the inside......i think the machine is stolen. the serial # was taped on ebay.Last edited by loolagigi; 10-19-2012 at 10:22 PM.

Reply:You are on the internet yes? Can you not look up anything for yourself? All of the info you are looking for is there. Who ties your shoes for you.I've tried to remain neutral to your posts but you are or pretend to be a complete idiot. I, and most everyone here is willing to help people out but you are clueless. I refuse to spoon feed idiots such as you. Its really for your own good. If you can't figure out anything for yourself then you should be left by the roadside.Charles.You get what you put in and people get what they deserve...
Reply:Spoken like a true oilers fan.  let the guy show off his toy. I'm embarrassed if you're 488.I have a dynasty and it was worth every penny I paid. If you can afford the contractor kit I recommend it. Comes with everything you'll need. Stinger, ground, foot pedal, reg, tig torch, etc. . .It makes a weird buzzing noise when you turn it on.Good luck.

Reply:Just so you know,  if u sell it to someone else and they contact miller and find out its stolen you are it.  They file a police report, you r guilty of owning and selling stolen property.  Not to mention mail fraud and worse if u ship across state lines.  Multiple federal offenses.   Paypal will refund the buyer 100% then take legal action against you..  Moral of the story.  Find out if its stolen or not before u try and resell it.  Or you are IT.When I worked for John Deere, we had a customer bring in a late model 310 TLB for service he got used.    Serial number came up stolen.   We kept the machine, called cops and he is out a machine and arrested....  machine goes to the insurance company that paid off original loss claim.   He had no idea it was stolen either.    Sure, eventually he probably got charges dropped and maybe they tracked down the guy he bought it from,  but either way u don't want to be IT.Tiger Sales:  AHP Distributor    www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P,  Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.  For Sale:  Cobra Mig 250 w/ Push-pull gun.  Lincoln Wirematic 250
Reply:LOL,This thread should've started with "I just got the machine of my dreams and I think it's stolen, what should I do"  not  "bla bla bla, yada yada yada, how to wire, what torch, and oh yea, I think it's stolen"In Loo's defense, I see alot of serial numbers and license plates that are hidden when posted for sale on the 'net.   I've never sold on ebay, but when posting on craigslist I hide those numbers.  I could be wrong, but I've always figured vin's and plates are kinda like social security numbers, you just don't want them floating around. But since you had suspicion, Loo, you should've made that your priority.Lincoln SA 200Esab Caddy 160Thermal Arc 201TSMiller Dialarc HFI don't like making plans for the day because then the word "premeditated" gets thrown around the courtroom....

Reply:Originally Posted by loolagigii took a chance. i know. used paypal though, so i should have buyer protection right?  item was listed as working and fully functional.  also i have been a ebay user since 2004 with 100% feedback. he has 0 feedback. WHAT DOES EBAY BUYER PROTECTION COVER?eBay Buyer Protection covers items purchased on eBay with eligible payment methods that are not received or not as described in the listing. Our internal research shows that a very significant portion of listings on eBay are covered by eBay Buyer Protection. Some purchases aren't covered, such as items eligible for protection under eBay's Business Equipment Purchase Protection, items listed or that should be listed in the Motors (except for Parts and Accessories) and Real Estate categories, and most prohibited or restricted items. Most Business and Industrial categories are covered by eBay Buyer Protection.Remember, eBay Buyer Protection doesn't cover fraudulent charges or most cases of buyer remorse. Also, items must be purchased on the U.S. eBay.com website to qualify for eBay Buyer Protection coverage, and are covered for 45 days from the date of payment. Purchases made on Half.com and classified listings on eBayclassifieds.com or eBay.com, or items purchased on the eBay Digital Music Center aren't covered. Generally, you must pay for the item in one lump sum to be covered.

Reply:seems like people on here are pessimist's. some anyways. pretty hard to rain on my parade. better luck next time.
Reply:Good luck with your new purchase.  If you like I can call miller and see if it is stolen but they probably will not know unless it was new when it was taken.  Buy the dinse connector wiht the gas hose adapter but be carefull.  You are fine on DC- but AC will use more Amps and may over heat a 200Amp torch.
Reply:i dont plan on going over 150 amps on the machine. i have welded 1/4" aluminum at 150 amps....pedal to the metal.....lol.  im double checking miller tomm to check info on the machine.

Reply:Originally Posted by BlauSchuhNot pessimists... realists. The machine works, great. Now hopefully it isn't stolen. Most people have enough sense to check a serial number with the manufacturer before investing $1825.From what I've gathered from reading your posts... you are a dope.Oh, and Good luck selling the welder for $1000 more than you paid, and willing to sell before even verifying whether it's stolen.
