Acklands tig welder ?

Looking at a 15 year old AK-Wave 250 tig welder made by acklands, comes with the ground, tig torch and foot pedal...  I cannot seem to find much in the way of information on this machine.  The guy said it will pull 308 amps max, what kind of thickness will this machine weld, are they a decent machine, etc ?
Reply:Acklands never made welders. Miller made many different welders over the years for Acklands Grainger, colored them orange and relabeled them as Acklands welders. Check the tag on that machine and ensure it is a single phase machine.
