Reply:Question for the 7a749, do you think I could build a contactor box using a dc solinoid continuos duty,.rating of 200 / 250 amp, Iam just starting out with an old lincoln HI FREQ box, and dont want to spend much money, till I can see how well I can tig, Thanks Eric
Reply:I'm not Steve but sure. All you need is a 60-75amp three pole (three phase) motor contactor with a coil of the appropriate voltage. Make a jumper bar to connect all three legs together on the input and output sides to connect the weld power cables to.That's how many welding power units are configured. I've picked the above size up off eBay for under $50.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
