I have a Precision TIG 275 that I am trying to figure out. When I am welding with it and I lift off the pedal it keeps its power on at a low level. I learned TIG on a Dynasty 200DX so I need to learn the quirks of a Lincoln. Is this normal or is there a setting that I have set wrong. If it matters the machine I have has the cooler cart and the pulse panel.Last edited by bsalbrig; 02-02-2011 at 08:50 PM.(At Home)Precision TIG 275Power MIG 200Power Arc 4000AC 225Hobart Handler 135(At Work)Miller Dynasty 200dx

Reply:2 step is for a standard remote control. 4 step is used with a arc start button. On a plain TIG it works like a trigger hold. On a TIG with a advanced program controls. It starts and stops the program. ramp up-weld-ramp down and crater fill and off.2 taps of a button. If you try to use a foot control you have to set the current control to panel and use only the switch in the foot control.
