sa200 resoration help!!!

well gents, i bought this damn thing hoping it would be an easy fixxer-upper project. but now im realizing im a little over my head. i cant seem to get this thing to just start up for me. i have ugly wiring and have just realized im missing some carb parts. i realized this when i went to hook up the gov rod and noticed i dont have a throttle lever. i dont know how i missed that when i rebuilt the carb. haha. anyway, i was wondering what the average cost is to have my machine taken somewhere and let someone who knows what theyre doing get it up and running properly. i dont mean fully restore with new paint and such. just to get it running and welding reliably. im in PA and theres no one around here that does this kind of work. i may just send it out of state if i have to. anyone have any experience with sending out there sa200 to be fixed up? thank you gents.  Semper Fi. Reply:Six,    I know the dilemma.  I have an oppurtunity right now to buy a 80's era SA myself.  Like yours, it needs a LOT of TLC.  Way beyond my current capabilities.  Im thinking I might just get it anyway. For the 200$ it will cost me....I might be able to get my money back by parting it out if I just cant get it done.    Just FWIW....Mitrowski Welding Supply here in South Houston specializes in doing those rebuilds.  Call and ask for Mat.  Good Guy.JD

Reply:My buddy from Hazleton, Pa. took his red face to these guys: www.jensensenginetech.com  They're located near Berwick, Pa. which I think is a 2-2.5 hour ride from York, Pa.  Those guys from jensen apparently know engines - they build world class racing engines.  They're certainly closer to you than Oklahoma.  I know that red face runs like a swiss watch, they line bored the crank, bored cylinders and head work.  I think parts and machine work total him $1,200.  My friend got all the parts back and did the assembly himself which saved $ too.
