After much of the suggestions about getting a bigger brand name machine, I just bit the bullet and went for a new 210mp. I bought the Lincoln 210mp with spool gun. WELL…… First I have the “typical” (?) runout on the wire feeder in the Welder, but when I went to use the spool gun I found out more “fun stuff”.Not only does the spool gun feeder have the same runout problem of the welder, but the motor assembly either slips (?), or binds bad enough that you can hear the motor rpm change. I’m about one day away from “allowing” Lincoln to buy back my “great little brand name lemonmobile.Below is the Utube link......Last edited by fps; 04-13-2016 at 06:11 AM.Everlast  i210 with 200a spool gunEverlast i140eLOTOS LTP5000D Non-Touch Pilot Arc "Things are never so bad that they can't get worse...."
Reply:That runnout is bullchit! The whole shaft is doing it, not just the wheel. All this talk about wire feed run out last two days demands I go out to shop now and check my Hobarts.

Reply:If that was mine. I would pull the drive roller of and see if the end of the shaft itself is bent or is it the bolt holding it bent.Klutch 220si mig , stick, and dc tigHobart 140 AHP ALPHA 200X 2016Lotos LTP5000DSmith O/P

Reply:I looked at the video, and I don't understand you're reaction. The first time you pulled the trigger and saw the bent shaft you should have taken it right back and showed the dealer. Lincoln doesn't make parts like that; they make shafts on lathes and they can only come out straight.  They get bent by being dropped or something. The dealer will see that immediately when you pull the trigger.  Even if the gun was made in Mexico or Italy or China, not even Mexican, Italian, or Chinese lathes will turn a bent shaft without making a special effort. Wrong finish, wrong diameter, sure, but not a bent shaft. If the splined hole in the shaft's drive-gear had somehow been made hugely eccentric to its O. D., AND the shaft turned undersize, I guess you could get that big an oscillation, but an accidently-bent shaft is a whole lot more likely.Last edited by old jupiter; 04-13-2016 at 11:32 AM.

Reply:That looks like a warranty case. It's bent bad. I just bought the same welder with no issues. Get them to fix or replace, that's what warranties are for. Mind you I tested mine before I payed for it.
Reply:Don't know why you're waiting for the LWS to figure anything out, box it up and bring it back, that's NOT what it's supposed to do. Reply:pack it back up and get a new one from your lws, you dont have to spend $100+ to ship it each way like the chicom ones... if you paid by credit card call them and stop the charge till its fixed or replaced...if you wait its your fault if nothing gets done..and the next one the lws puts on the counter, plug it in and run it to make sure no issues, and then raise hell to get compensated for your wasted time running it back and forth, ask for some free consumables from the lws..ill bet they give you something for your troubles...
