I picked it up for $110, seems like a nice drill press, 16 speed:Says "model DT-16F" http://www.philswelding.com
Reply:Looks like an import copy of a Delta. A quick google search pulled up an old auction listing for that number as a Chicago Electric drill press, but they don't show a pict any longer..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan

Reply:Do yourself a favor and replace the chuck shaped object on the end of the drill press quill. Quality belts wouldn't hurt either with a Power Twist being the best you could hope for. Any good American made belt would be far better than what came of that drill press. I have had more or less the same drill press for the past 23-24 yrs and replaced the chuck with a used Jacobs Super Chuck several years back since the old chuck was starting to give up the ghost. The improvement was amazing...much better than the day I uncrated the drill press all those years before. Run-out was significantly less and it was possible to grip hardened bits for the first time.EDIT: Check the depth lock to see how well the bolt is holding up. Reply:Is that dt-15f or dt-16f model? The 16f seems to be a knock off.
