I just got a ESAB Digipulse 450i power supply and a dual Digipulse wire feeder. It did not come with a mig gun and I need help figuring out what all I need to get this to work. I was told one thing by ESAB tech support and another thing by Bernard tech support. I'm hoping someone here can help. Here is the link to the manual for the wire feeder:http://www.esabna.com/literature/arc...f-15-626-e.pdfCan someone take a look at this and tell me, does this use a Tweco #4 NAS style connector? That is what the ESAB tech support tech told me it uses. The tech from Bernard said it uses a euro connection, which it doesn't look like to me. I know I need to get wire, electrical connections, and gas to the torch. I assume I need a power pin and quick connection block to make this happen?I am open to using Bernard, Tweco, ESAB, or any brand that will make this work. Can anyone please give me some insight on what to order? Thanks,Ed
Reply:Sounds like you got a canned answer from Bernard. This is definitely not a Euro (CC) connection. The manual recommends a Gunmaster 400 which is now discontinued. Your best bet would be to run with a Tweco Spraymaster 450 NAS or similar. ESAB is no longer making proprietary guns as the Gunmasters were made by Tregaskiss (Bernard), and ESAB now owns Tweco. You will need the switch connector, I'm not sure of a part number from Tweco, but the ESAB PN is 0558001815. All it is is a couple of wires with a connection for the gun on one end, and a connection for the wire feeder on the other. You could likely make one yourselfLast edited by weldinON; 02-16-2015 at 04:19 AM.
