As many noticed (thanks to those that did ) I hadn't been around here for awhile but that doesn't mean I wasn't doing anything. One thing I did was make this end table for son Brink, M.E. and his bride as a Christmas present. The tiles match those we put down in the kitchen/dining/living rooms of their new home. Told him I needed a couple to compare to those we are using in an investment reno project. Built from several 3/4" square tubing golf cart windshield frames acquired from a local cart shop scrap bin. My two choices for finish was "Industrial" left as prepared for the build or gloss black. I was leaning toward industrial and everyone else that saw it in secret voted industrial as well but I left it until the couple saw it so they could decide. As you'll see, they when with the popular vote. Reply:Hey, looks great just the way it is. Rustic they call it. Reply:Now I have to come over and get a couple more of those frames so I'll have enough to copy this design. Glad to see you got enough time away from the reno project to do something fun!GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:Nice. Only down side I see is that you'll need to add corner bumpers fairly soon for the new little one around their house..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:I'm gonna have to steal that tile-top idea!

Reply:Now you just need to add a 2" receiver hitch tube to it so they can mount up a bench vise or something to it when needed and take it off when not needed.

Reply:Looks Great, and you didn't even have to build a tube bender to do it. Washers look good, I scavenge ball bearings for a finished looking foot, another cheap pad for feet are disc type freeze plugs.PeterEquipment:2 old paws2 eyes (that don't look so good)1 bad back
