so did my mig 3g cert plates today. I believe its a 37.5° bevel 3/8 thick plate. So it was kind of a wide my question is whats the maximum tolerance allowed for this application? Thank you in advanceJust good enough aint good enoughIf your gonna be a bad welder you better be a darn good grinder
Reply:I don't know if they have a maximum allowable width on a groove weld test but according to ASME codes there is no limit on how wide a weave can be. Somebody with the test specs. hopefully will be able to answer.
