N00b here, I've been checking these forums for answers, and they've been a big help. Thanks for that, but now I need to stop lurking and ask a question My buddy has two SA-200's he's restoring, and on one of the units on the carburetor, TSX-979 (M-12484-2), the gasoline strainer drain is broken off. We easy-outed the remains, just need to track down a replacement part. I can't seem to find any online, my google-fu is failing. But I did see that John Deere used a similar carb and has a part, for which I have a part number for, and I'm calling my buddy who works for the John Deere dealership here in town if they've got it or can get it, and the specs on it. But I'm wondering a) if anyone knows of another place to order it or b) a similar replacement part or replacement part number. We don't want to replace the carbs, as we're both out of work, so keeping costs down is a big factor in our decision making.Picture attached; it's the silver hex sided piece off the bottom. Reply:Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Talked to my John Deere employed buddy, his parts manager is checking it out. We'll see. Ebay is one of the places I least frequent online, not a big fan, so it didn't even occur to me to look for Ebay "stores".Thanks,Darin
Reply:I bought one of these for a welder I was working on last summer.
