I found a redface in my price range today. Cheap and it comes on a trailer. The seller said that it had 110 volts at the plug but wouldn't weld. The previous owner told him that the "field coils" were out. I get to pick it up Monday or Tuesday. I can't wait.As the admin/owner of www.sa200.org I feel obligated to own an SA200 I'll upload some pictures when I get it to the shop.http://www.facebook.com/groups/sa200weldersCurrent machines:Hobart G600 Powered by 1967 Chrysler LH-318 (Project)Hobart GF-250(Traded)68 Redface81 Blackface
Reply:Good for you. It is exciting to make a purchase that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Leaves resources to buy parts with.Post pics Gordie -- "I believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
Reply:The price was low enough that I could replace the shunt coils and still come out ahead if I decide to sell it. I don't want to sell it though. This will be my 5th SA200. I wish I would have kept them all http://www.facebook.com/groups/sa200weldersCurrent machines:Hobart G600 Powered by 1967 Chrysler LH-318 (Project)Hobart GF-250(Traded)68 Redface81 Blackface
