Reply:This ones a 600mm (24") Sch 60 carbon, 23mm (just shy of an inch) wall thickness welded with ER70s-2 TIG root and HP, Lincoln Conarc 49C 7018, 5/32 rod at 155 for the fill, 1/8 rod at 125 for the cap.The little welding machine i'm using to weld with, a Lincoln V160T-Pulse, good TIG machine, basic stick, no hot start, or arc adjustment, but god damn it has a nice stick arc, nice a soft, perfect for pipe welding, welding back to back with this little beast and a V350-PRO, i much prefer the 160, the arc on the 350-pro is to stiff and harsh for me, even on Stick soft with the arc control turned right down, the arc on the 160 is nice and smooth and soft, point being, you don't need a fancy big machine to stick weld pipe.
Reply:How long do you have to wait between the 5/32 rods for the maching to cool?Multimatic 200Ellis 1800Haberle S225 9" cold sawMM 300; Spoolmate 30A w/ WC-24TB 302GDynasty 280 DX Tigrunner
