I needed a project for creative expression. TIG welded 304 kitty food dish. "Pan" was folded on a finger brake and inside corners TIG welded. I had to do a bit of tweeking to the pan with linesman pliers before welding. The skirts around the outside were cut and fitted to the "pan". Fit and tack around and weld it up. Next back to the belt grinder. Once the outside was ground close enough I flipped it over and fitted a bottom plate. Filled the whole thing with dry sand and TIGed the bottom on. I really need better inside grinding stuff. But kitty will not care.Outside partially done. After a bit of grinding and scotch brite.
Reply:That'll make some *****cat very proud!Creative expression achieved nicely.

Reply:That's a well done project. Thanks for posting.
Reply:Thanks guys. Kitty gets to use it tonight or in the morning. I need to make something like a spatula to slide under it so I can pick it up from the floor to put food in it. No way to grab it other than finger nails under it, and I did not want any type of handle on it.Sand inside gives it weight and holds heat from rinsing it in hot water before feeding her. She gets 2 hot meals a day.
Reply:Nice job.My cats get the crunchy crap right from the bag. But they like it - won't eat canned food and sometimes not even meat scraps. The one who disappeared a year ago liked chicken and turkey. Preferred voles, chipmunks and squirrels - he would eat all but the head, tail and intestines. In the living room.
