Need stick welding advice!

Hey guys, just got in to stick welding and would like some advice. I'm not to sure what I'm doing wrong, so I've attached a photo of a practice weld to see what you guys think. Attached Images

Reply:Yeah sorry, I'm useing 2mm rods on a DC machine set to 40 or 45 amps.
