How does this happen?

The Precision Tig 275 Code Number 10806 I got didn't have the manual with it when I got the machine.So I went online to Lincoln's website and downloaded the manual using the code. Everybody knows Lincoln uses the code as their bible. Then my buddy found the original manual and gave it to me.Here is the odd part: The original manual says the machine has 310amps output while the downloaded manual says it has 340amps output.
