I'm trying to find the best lead and accessory connectors.I have a Miller Trailblazer 302D and a Miller Hf box. Right now I just have a single air cooled tig torch, and a set of stick leads.I'm looking to put quick connectors on everything, to make it more modular.  At the moment I have my leads and machine set up with the "lenco" style cam lock. I have found out the the tweeco version kinda suck to use. I'm also seeing that as far as tig torch quick connectors there really is only Dinse.  I have been looking to possibly change everything to Dinse. When looking on the line there is so much conflicting or non existing info for the Dinse as far as size, inter operability, amp rating. So TLDR; What is the best quick connects for 300 amps machine to cable, cable to cable, cable to accessory, accessory to tig torch.cables used so far. #2 welding. planning on getting at least 50' 1/0 in future. Thanks Rich

Reply:Thank for the reply. That's what I was thinking. I have not personally used the Dinse connectors my self but you see it every ware on the You Tube.Duane maby you might know. I have a brand new set of Tweco 2-1MPC male connectors. The seam to not want to fit into any female receptacle. Even the Tweco machine receptacle. But the also new Lenco LC-40 fit into everything with ease. Also do you know of any reasonably priced Lenco style tig torch adapters?
Reply:Agree!Use these.Charl
Reply:I personally like the Lenco LC-40's better than the Tweco's. They are a little less expensive, come in different colors, smaller, and they seem to fit better. Just my opinion......."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! Reply:I bought these about a year ago from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Welding-Cable-...ilpage_o00_s00) and so far they've been good.  I have a stinger with a 15' lead from my Thermal Arc with the same connector.  I made two pigtails for the ground, one with a brass spring clamp and the other for a magnetic.  The short stinger is handy for working close to the truck and the two grounds make very handy. Just have to make sure the DINSE connector is for the right cable gauge.
Reply:I'm going to go with the Lenco LC-40.  Killdozerd11: That's how I have my HF box set up now. This afternoon i have been messing around with a spare tweco male connector. this is what I have made.A Lenco Tig torch quick disconnect.I started with a tweco male. it wasn’t fitting good or at least at all. a little sanding of the connector fixed that right up.I made an adapter using a id 1/8-28 od 1/4-19. All tho there is nothing in that step down to back against the flare type fitting. I tapped from he opposing direction with an 1/'8-28 pip thread. I screwed in a 1/8-28 close nipple. at first it didn’t give enough penetration. I then tapped the fitting to give better penetration. When I finally had good penetration I heavily locktighted the nipple in. After the letting the nipple set I cut the end of the nipple with a rotary tool with a cut off blade. Now on to the Tweco. I tapped the connector ware you put the wire with the 1/4-19. luckily the set screw only needed a clean up with the same tape. slight modification of the outer jacket and bam. Attached Images

Reply:I wish I had taken more pictures illustrating the assembly better.I put gas quick disconnects on the hose to the HF box. So now I need to get another one to go from solenoid to Tig Quick connect. For the most part it went pretty strait forward but there was a lot of fitting between the tapping and threading, to get a good fit and the flare of the Tig lead to bottom out firmly.
Reply:You did good on fabbing that ...Tweco should make one like that and one similar for the arcair torch...It would make things much simpler as i could just connect to the leads instead of having to use my stinger for the connector to the power blockI use those green quick connectors from tractor supply because they are different from my air connectors so my inert gas hoses never get used for air or anything elsei always roll them up and connect the ends together so they don't get anything in them I use those on all my flow gauges and my gas mixer so i can quickly connect to my suitcase feeders or the 251D boxBacked my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me  What would SATAN do ?? Reply:If you are talking about a dedicated tig and HF box, one set of Dinse connectors probably won't end the world.I'm split about 50/50 between Dinse and Tweeco stuff. Years ago I got a screaming deal on a bunch of heavy leads all the tweeco connectors on them and set up my stuff to use that. My newer Syncrowave 200 and my Maxstar 200 both use Dinse connectors, as does most of the stuff at the tech school. I've managed to pick up a few tweeco to Dinse adapters from a member here as well as get a bunch of used Dinse connectors both here and off CL so I'm slowly building up more Dinse stuff and buying less Tweeco connectors..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:CK makes a few different cam lock tig torch connectors. No need to make them.http://weldfabulous.com/welding/tig/connectors/
