SA-200 High Idle

Have a SA-200 f-163 1975 model. Don't really know where to start on this but here goes. Through previous posts and searches, I got the manuals for my machine. Was trying to fix some minor problems. Ordered the face plate, which I didnt think would be a prolbem to fix; well, broke the handle on the fine tune rehostat. Ordered new rehostat. Had to drill out the set screw on the knob to get that fixed. As usual I failed in the basic step of not either taking a picture or marking the wiring to all the switches that had to be disconnected to get the face plate off. More searches, got wiring diagram and got everything reconnected.Now, prior to doing any of the touch up's the machine ran just fine, cranked up just fine, would idle down after a few minutes. Now that I've replaced the rehostat and other switches, machine cranks up but will not idle down. I can manually pull the lever back but once released it goes right back to high idle. I am by no means what so ever a mechanic so some of the terminolgy may be wrong but how do I check (1) that the idle / manual toggle switch is working; (2) what does the idler solenoid look like and where is it located..(know that could be a very dumb question) and (3) since I didnt make any adjustments to any of the levers etc what can cause the machine to stay in high idle? I have done several searches and I am just flat out confused. Any help is aprreciated.

Reply:Ya cant use it while your idling......... mine stopped idling years ago and has burned alot of rods since it stopped... only runs at operating speed now..
Reply:my sa200 f163 wont idle up, for years we've hade to flip the toggle switch to get it up. now when you flip it nothing happens. it wont strike an arc at normal rpm's. tried tying all the wires from the toggle switch together and it still woundn't idle up. appreciate any HELP!!
