Info on old welder

Hello, I'm wondering if anybody has any info on this welder.  The owner says its a 180 AS Lincoln from 1954.  Says it runs, but hasn't welded with it in 10 years.  Don't think there are leads.  Wants $250 for it.  It's about 80 miles from me, so I can't just go look at it , but I'll post his pic.  At first I thought it was an SA200, and I would definately get it.  Now I'm not sure.  Any help appreciated.Thanks,Matt Attached Images

Reply:It is a Lincwelder dc 180 as ,20 to 200 amp output.There are three studs for output on the panel and you use engine speed  to fine tune the output,in other words the welding current is controlled by the engine speed.motor is an air cooled wisconsin twin.A  high tech machine in its day .A nice machine to restore and use  FelonCaution lurker lives here" hmmm That is serious,pass the ganja and pick up a  24 of MGD"

Reply:My grandpa bought one of these welders brand new and it has been in the family ever since. Still weld with it and just a few years ago had to finally put a new electrode holder on it. Love this old welder, you will gain some respect for it trying to start it if it decides to kick ya back!
