Look what i found for $500  Found it behind an old lumber yard, after i got it started and welded with it the old guy said he needed at least 500 for it I almost fell over. The carb. leaks a little and the old R-57 idler does not work, but i am waiting on the idler upgrade kit and hose kits to get here to fix it up some. I replaced the battery and most of the wire on the starter, kill switch, and amp meter ect.  all the wiring from the generator to the rheostats seems fine so far.

Reply:Congrats! Keep in mind that the 110 outlet is DC as well. I've seen lots of guys burn up AC tools trying to run them on the DC.
Reply:Yea about that, the outlet does not work. It has a 15amp fuse, the fuse is good but  the outlet does not work. Attached Images
Reply:Do I see mud in the plug ?  If from mud dauber wasps you may have more under the hood, in air cleaner and who knows where else they can make a mess.
Reply:Yea that is  mud. I dug some out of the radiator drain also. I cleaned out the air filter nothing in it. I think all I have to do is change out the plug but not sure where to find one like this.
Reply:The plug on yours is not the type that came on it.  They had just single receptacle round type fit in one hole and didn't have a fuse sticking out like that.  http://www.billswelderrepair.com/schematics.html

Reply:Single receptacle plug,  bottom of this link page.  One plug is all you can run and pin the idler with running power tools with DC rating no variable speed or AC only power tools will fry them.  If you want to run other tools put on a bigger alternator on and a inverter. Reply:Thanks for the information, you guys know your stuff. The idler upgrade kit, choke cable and hoses should be in tomorrow. When I install the new electric idler will this also cause the machine to go to high idle when using power tools?
Reply:Ok replaced recepticle with this one. More like the original 115 single. I still can't get any power from it, I pin it in high idle put nothing. I have amprage through all the ranges but nothing at the plug. I got the new idler from Hybriweld today but if I do not have power to the plug will this cause the new idle not to work. Reply:Ok, got the aux. plug working . Thanks for the wiring diagram. I also took the r57 idler apart and got it working too. I am still going to replace it with the new electronic idler I got from Hybriweld. If I can figure out where the reed assembly goes, any ideas?
