Does anyone have any experience with this wire? Seems like a good price, but only if it feeds & burns good. (it is at least packaged appropriately)http://www.ebay.com/sch/firebirdindu...p2047675.l2562I'm currently digging deep in the pockets for 11lb spools of Hobart retailed at Fleet Farm. I read previous threads of the "HTP Quality" wire from USAWELD on eBay, but they are out of the .030 right now?Running it on a MM211 and I'm either going to buy two 11lb spools of .030 and two 11lbs spools of .035. OR I'm going to adapt the MM211 to use 33lb or 44lb spools and buy one of each that way.... But I'm thinking if the price is right on the 11pounders it won't be worth the hassle to save on adapting the 33pounders. I've only EVER used .030 (about 50lbs worth so far.) But for welding 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" plate I'm thinking the thicker .035 on the MM211 would help the process, then just use .030 on the thinner stuff (It's not that hard or a big enough PITA to deter me from switching back and forth, I say this now while never having to do it other than to change out empty spools for new ones)Questions, Comments, Concerns? Thanks!
Reply:Just picked up some .035 as was previously given the green light on this form from previous posts/years:http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-10-lb-Roll...item2ed1aed6aeThey said they would have .030 in stock by the end of the month.Still interested in knowing more about the Fire Bird brand however. |
