I thought I would make a thread of some of my past welding projects as well as have a place to drop some pictures of future projects from all of the great ideas/projects I have seen on the site. Here is my welding table that I posted a few pictures of in my intro previously. This was the project that made me realize I needed to improve my welding and spurred me to get more active here on the site.  A few detail shots:     I have link in my signature if you want to see more details or the link to a little video I did showing some of the details I built into the table.Mobile Base for Sand Blast CabinetA couple of months ago I was fortunate to be able to take advantage of a sale at Harbor Freight for their industrial sand blast cabinet. The good news was that I got a great deal, the bad news was that I now had a very large immovable object blocking the front of my garage. To move it around my garage I built this mobile base from 4” channel and some 1.5” square tube. I used casters I had bought previously from HF for another project.  The height ended up being perfect as I can pull up my Craftsman stool and reach the pedal to engage the gun. This hopefully will make it a little more comfortable for those longer blasting periods. Air Compressor StandToday I finally built and mounted a better stand for my air compressor from an idea I saw on another forum. I used 2” tubing and some hockey pucks I bought from a local sports store. I didn’t think I would notice much difference in sound but I was surprised at how much was transmitting directly through the floor that is now gone. Now I can actually slide the compressor and clean that dirty floor!!  I have some other small projects in the works but my next big project is a workbench and hutch combo that I hope to have finished by the end of October.Lincoln 180 MigLincoln 225 TigHypertherm 65My Welding Table BuildVideo describing the Table
Reply:Nice work, Duker!I'm going to "borrow" some of your ideas.  GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:Your projects look to be well thought out and designed.  Nice work!Craig MontgomeryM&L Fabrication, LLChttps://www.facebook.com/pages/ML-Fa...8228829?ref=hl
Reply:Nice work Dukers. I will also be "borrowing" a couple of your ideas.

Reply:I like the way you put a lot of thought into everything you build. There are some great ideas that will be copied by many. Great job.
Reply:Wow. I want a table just like that.
Reply:I found that isolating the compressor from the floor makes a huge difference in noise, I like the hockey puck idea. I ended up getting some cork/rubber equipment pads for mine, before I put them in, it would get going and actually start walking out from the wall (have a little unevenness in the floor there)
Reply:That table is gorgeous. I hope you don't mind if we borrow some of your ideas. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Reply:what a beautiful piece of garage furniture.  I can't wait to move somewhere other than base housing, so I can make a table I can weld on.  LOL
Reply:Duker, where did you get those wheels for the welding table...great job..may copy the saw mount.
Reply:+   Added to list of projectsLove the design.  I would love to have wheels to move my table out of the garage.  Easier to clean up outside!
Reply:Originally Posted by tackitThat table is going to be fun to work on. Good planning and workmanship all the way down to the paint job.    Nice how you made the saw's table the same height as the table's top,  everything is done right.

Reply:Dude thats awesome! Nice table....And I noticed your shop floor is exactly what I am wanting to do. Do you have a link to your shop on garage journal?...Miller Dynasty 200Millermatic 211Instagram?.... find me @ WELD_MEDIC
Reply:I have a garage projects thread over at the GJ but it doesn't really show my shop/garage. I am currently building/welding a new set of workbenches, hutches and storage units for the garage so I will have some more detail about the shop in those posts. The floor is an epoxy triple chip floor. It has suffered some real abuse but looks great when I actually clean it! Reply:I love that table, especially the chop saw mount!  What's the overall depth of it?  Doesn't look much deeper than my toolboxes, may be able to consolidate welding carts and make a table that I've been desperately in need of!

Reply:I had seen one on craigslist the other day and i thought maybe it was yours. I have a 1016 and its nice. I bought it "restored" but didn't realize that some parts were missing some were fabricated so im trying to get it back to the way its supposed to be. Mine has a single phase motor installed on it. I wish it were still three phase. If you ever need anything feel free to give me a shout. Ive got a shop in the galleria area, I dont mind helping out a fellow weldingweber.   Originally Posted by DukerYep a fellow Houstonian. In regards to the saw, no I am not selling it anytime soon. I bought and restored the saw to replace an old HF saw that I wore out. Mine is three phase so I added a VFD to be able to run it in my garage and make it variable speed so I wouldn't have to change the belt. If you can find one grab it as there are still parts available for it and it is a great saw.

Reply:It has been awhile since I made enough progress on a task to post an update. Here is my current welding project, which I am calling my workstation. I am building a set of workbenches and storage units to revamp the storage needs in my garage. There will be two workbenches, 1 corner unit, 2 corner storage units and two hutches. I have completed one of the dual 56” HF cabinet work benches and the corner cabinet. Finished workbench frame and dropping the cabinets into position: Top view of the corner cabinet. Rough corner cabinet frame almost completed. Testing the fit of the HF cabinet.Finished corner cabinet. You can see the finished workbench (excluding top ) in the background.I need to do a lot of cleaning and painting so that I can slide these into position to make some room to work on the corner storage cabinets and hutch for the right side cabinets.Lincoln 180 MigLincoln 225 TigHypertherm 65My Welding Table BuildVideo describing the Table

Reply:Really like the table and how you setup the HF blaster. Got a 25% off coupon and going to get a HF blaster, so I'm going to use your ideas. Where did you get the foot feed for th HF blaster and how well does the blaster work? Thanks for the great post.
Reply:Nallbright,The saw sled as I call it is made of 2" x 2" x 1/4" tube with a 1/4" plate attached to the tube with 1/2" all thread rod that allows me to adjust the top of the saw level with the top of the welding table. The sled is slipped into 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1/4" primary tubes that run the length of the table. The sled is held in place by two locking star knobs. There are more pictures and a video of the finished table you can see in the links in my signature.Lincoln 180 MigLincoln 225 TigHypertherm 65My Welding Table BuildVideo describing the Table
Reply:Hey! Nice work on all of your builds. I saw that video of your table online a month ago, and found it on here. Haha, any way. (Off Topic) I see in your signature that you have a Hypertherm 65. What are your thoughts and impressions of it? Also how about the 225 Tig? It just happens that i have a Lincoln 140, and i am looking at those 2 other machines too! Haha, guess we are into the same things!
