Reply:Carefully read the warranty from Eastwoods. If there is a problem, you pay shipping to and from on your dime to get it replaced I believe. Eastwood tigs have gotten spotty reviews here. Customer service hasn't apparently been up to Eastwood's normal standards for other things from what others have reported. Shame, you'd hope a company with a reputation like they do could bring a lot to the low end welder market. I believe others in the past have mentioned the Eastwood tigs used the older design using Mofsets vs IGBT's. Mofset units have had a reputation for issues, I'm not sure if Eastwoods has changed their units or not. Many of these companies change who they buy machines from fairly regularly and often market them under the same name/model, so it can be difficult some times to keep things straight.With most of these cheap import tigs keep this in mind. If it fails out of warranty, you will not find anyone who will work on them. Many importers simply replace units that have issues vs try and repair them. So consider it a disposable machine if it brakes..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:DSW, Funny you mentioned Eastwoods warranty. I have a Mig 175 that the gas valve would stick on once and a while so after 2 1/2 years of use I called expecting to get a new valve. They had me box up the Mig 175, sent FEDEX out to my house to pick it up and delivered a new boxed up unit (complete) within a week with NO cost to me. I think that's great customer service. By the way, that Mig worked great for the 2 1/2 years of use. The customer service tech also gave me the part numbers of the parts that they saw go bad so when it was out of warranty I could buy the parts if needed.

Reply:I am also against the made in china junk. You would not believe the absolute counterfeit clones and other ripoffs of American technology that have 100% flooded the American market. I got a 50 cc rc airplane engine that was sold as a total china ripoff copy of a good American made engine. Didn't know it at the time bought it.The theft American intellectual property is outrages. I did get the  Simadre tig200 200a setup for 468.00 with foot pedal regulator tig tourch stick cable etc. But sometimes your back is up against the wall when money is tight. I am looking at it as a throw away just like us Harley heads do when it comes to Jap bikes. It comes with a 1 year warranty but....Ya never know how that's going to go if you have problems. I have a clue but just want to make sure. You wouldn't believe how bad the instructions are. They show the 200 with a totaly diferant panel. The T2 and T4 I dont know and the one switch has three postions, I think the bottom one is straight current for stick welding.
