Bobcat 225NT?

How many of you have used them and what do you like dislike about the machine? ive been welding for many years and am know expanding my buisness to enclude trailer repair fence and gate building and just about anything else people want done. I have read about the 250 but have not heard anything on the 225.
Reply:The 225's are great machines. I doubt that you would ever wear one out doing the type of work you mentioned.
Reply:Well I baught the 225NT and ended up buying a Hypertherm 1000 to boot. i have yet to fire up either but will definately do so on monday. What size leads should I run on the 225 for say 150 feet?
Reply:Scott-885 Depends on what amperage you will be running the most, but #1 is a good choice.
Reply:I can tell you my dad is unhappy with his 225NT.  He bought it brand new two years ago and was never happy with the arc quality, especially at low amperage stick.  Also, in the heat of the AZ/NV summers, it vapor-locks, even with a wet rag stuffed around the fuel line.I have the Trailblazer 301G.  It wasn't very much more money for the deal that I got at the time, and it has the best arc of any machine I've ever welded with.  It has performed flawlessly.  My dad took it on my trailer as a back up and used it when his Bobcat vapor-locked last weekend.
Reply:I have a Bobcat 250nt.  It's a great machine.  Very good arc even with 7018.  Hope that your 225 works as well...Bobcat
