Is the Lincoln Electric CV 400 Mig/Tig a good machine to start out with. I found a guy saying the welder is about 6 months old and is looking to get $1500 firm. Thanks in advance,
Reply:The CV 400 is a 3 phase MIG only welder, will not do TIG.To find out how old, get the serial number. The first letter is the country it was made in.Next is the plant number, next two are the year, next two are the month, rest is just numbers.A 6 month old welder would read. U111051234 USA plant #1 may 2011 1234To weld you will also need a wire feeder to go with it. |
