Hi I recently purchased a miller blue star 3500 generator welder from someone on face book. it was sold to me with engine issues and now that we have sorted those out we are having issues with the welder. we are getting full power from all of the 120 v outlets but when we try to strike an arc it doesn't seem to have much power and won't run a bead. we tried both a 1/8 6010 rod and a 7018 if you have any idea what is going on with it please let me know.
Reply:I don't know anything about those machines.. is there a switch you need to flip to weld instead of generate? Is it supposed to go to higher rpm for welding (is it doing that)? What happens if you turn the amperage up all the way and strike an arc?Airco Ac/Dc 300 HeliwelderMillerMatic 200 (stolen)Miller Maxstar 150STLMiller AEAD200LE (welding and generating power) Hobart MIG
