I want to build a Racing Sim Rig Triple monitor stand in a way that it will support 3x 32" 23 lbs each monitors with the monitors being mounted at a horizontal level or elevation line of sight of 48".  I would like to be able to adjust this height as well as the width of monitors.  For now the central location of the 100mm x 100mm Vesa Mount on the monitors is exactly where my eye's rest in the center of the monitors as I sit in the cockpit and exactly how I want it.  I have a couple of different idea's I'm tossing around in my head but usually the simplest is the most effective.  Looks matter but if it's built clean I can deal with simplicity in design.  Especially if it allows for monitor size changes in the future.  I'm thinking the wider the base/foot print the more stable it will be.???  Not only width from side to side but the depth or length of the legs from front to back which will be rest on the ground supporting the whole stand.  The shape is where different idea's come to mind.I ordered Some Bass Shakers and a simple amp to power them.  They will be used to simulate Engine vibrations as well as Ground Textures etc.  One will be mounted under the Seat and the other probably some where near my feet.I also plan to be using an older 5.1 100w Technics  SA-GX690 Digital Pro Logic Dolby surround sound head unit to power the sound system.  I'm currently using my brothers Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 system and it rocks but I want surround sound so I can hear vehicles coming from behind.  I won't be able to distinguish what side they are coming from with regards to either left or right until I upgrade the head unit to a more modern 7.1 Dolby unit afaik but for now my older head unit will have to do.Here are a couple different Stands I am biting from  (Idea #1) & (Idea #2)to get a grip on design implementation and layout.  Hopefully What I build will be suitable for future upgrades should I end up going with bigger/heavier monitors.  I don't think I'll need to but options are always nice to have just in case.  The idea is to be able to swing one or both monitors out of the way for getting in and out of the cockpit as well as system maintenance etc.I've been wanting to build a Sim Rig like this for ages.  Any and all idea's are welcome.  I'll upload some images of my idea's as well any progress.Mental Support is needed and appreciated.  Let's hear some idea's with in reason of the plans I am pondering.Materials so far is Very thin 2-1/4" Tubing salvaged from a Gazebo I purchased years ago at Orchard Supply that a heavy wind storm brought down.  I saved all the metal materials knowing I'd use them some day for something and that day has come.OK time for another beer break.Edit:  Got my beer and onward I go.Here is how the monitors look atm sitting on top of some left over siding that is resting on top of a couple of adjustable saw horses.

Here is a couple pics of some 2-1/4" tube I'll be using for the majority of the stand.  I'd like it to be adjustable so you can see in these pica how the ends caps slide over the tubing.  Thinking this will allow both height and depth adjustments. This is the end cap that can slide along the tubing.

This is a pic of the thin tubing I have in mind for this build.

What do y'all think, will the wall thickness be strong enough to hold the 70+ lbs of monitors and mounting hardware?

Reply:Just trying to get some of my idea's on paper so they are easier to see and understand.  My paint brush is M$ Paint :/

Reply:https://www.trackir.com/ Get this to go with the sim rig. Not sure what reminded me of that, but yeah. They help.Edit: I've heard TrackHat is another decent brand. Not sure.Sent from my Lincoln Buzzbox using Tapatalk
Reply:Not quite sure how that will help with sim racing but nah...Lincoln, ESAB, Thermal Dynamics, Victor, Miller, Dewalt, Makita, Kalamzoo.  Hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting tools.
Reply:Could you take a piece of that tubing, run it through a ring roller, then mount 3 monitor arms to it? With the wall thickness of that tube, you'd probably have to drill through the tubing and welding in a bushing to mount the monitors to, unless you clamped around the tubing. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=monitor+arm&ref=nb_sb_noss
