Gonna get my welding machine back from the repair technicians tomorrow, so I took time to prep some 6” square steel post so I can try the machine out with some stick electrodes and some flux core wire.    I put a section of the square post on my abraisive chop saw, and it did not like that big of a piece of steel, which is 1/4” thick.   It wanted to take forever to get thru that post. So, I changed horses in mid cut…pulled out the Primeweld Cut 60 plasma machine, and it was a pleasure to use.   Cut through the 1/4” like butter, and I cut several pieces to do some test welds with different rods…6011, 6013 and 7018.   I can’t say anything but good about my experience with the Primeweld Cut 60.Miller Multimatic 215Spoolmatic 150 spool gun, Miller TIG kitPrimeweld Cut 60 Plasma CutterVevor Pipe StandsBauer Portaband/Swag tableGrinders-Milwaukee, Porter Cable, DewaltArcUnion M-20 portable rod oven
Reply:Gotta love plasma cutting.  Just gotta use it outdoors unless you have real good air-exchange and/or filtration.  Otherwise everything gets covered in black dust quickly, lol.
