I am new to the forum and realize I may draw heat for asking a question the forum may have answered, sorry. I have been welding designing stuff as a hobbyist for years with basic tools but recently bought a Snap On 30i. I would like any expertise I can get along the lines of consumables and accessories. I am wondering what helpful accessories there are for these cutters such as guides or rollers. Also, do snap on consumables have to be purchased or is there a good alternate brand? I'm a hobbyist as I stated and feel unsure by the world of plasma cutters. If you have further patience I would appreciate some words of Caution/Tips/General Intel/Do's and Don'ts when it comes to plasma cutters.Last edited by etxhobbyist; 12 Hours Ago at 03:12 PM.
Reply:Trust me. Snap On did not make that plasma unit. Find out who did and you can target thier consumables. With that in mind, the name eludes me but there is a big aftermarket consumables company that makes consumables for nearly every plasma torch made. It is Torch-----something or other. Anyway I think your machine was made in Italy. So it probably has a Trafimet torch. A part number or model # may be on the torch. A decent place for Italian plasma part is HTP/usa weld. They are now owned by an Italian company. https://usaweld.com/pages/plasma_cutting_partsWeld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR"
