I purchased a 2016 Multimatic 215 for short dollars. It was an untested, as-is sale. I got it home and plugged it into my 240 welder outlet, turned it on and nothing. Pulled the cover, and tested the circuit breaker, power cord continuity, and power switch. All test good. Plugged it back in with the cover off and turned it on again. No fan, no lights, nothing but the faint smell of a hot component. I grabbed my thermal gun and found that PTC1, circled in red on the board pic below was getting hot in a very short timeframe. I have cheap thermal gun so it's not very precise in its location but it appeared to hit 300 F in about 30 seconds. I'm not familiar with the expected behavior of positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistors but that seems well beyond spec from a quick google. Assuming the PTC is bad, is the heat a symptom or root cause?Anyway, I'd appreciate any feedback/help with troubleshooting. I'd also love to get my hands on a service manual if anyone has one. Thanks
